What Is a Recycling Bin?
Recycling is the process of collecting and reusing certain materials to reduce waste. Although not everything can be recycled, many everyday materials can be diverted from landfills. When trash goes to landfills, it releases harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases that contribute to pollution. Recycling helps reduce this impact by keeping waste out of landfills, lowering greenhouse gas emissions, and conserving natural resources.
How Our Recycling Service Works
When you rent a recycling bin from us, we drop the bin off at your location and pick it up once it is full. This makes waste management during construction, renovation, or cleanup projects efficient while reducing hazards on site. Our service allows you to focus on your work while we handle the disposal process.
- Convenient bin delivery and pickup
- Helps maintain safe and organized worksites
- Improves efficiency during construction or renovation
- Reduces landfill waste
Where Your Recycling Goes
All recyclable waste from our bins is sent to a recycling company that processes the materials and uses the profits to support people with intellectual and similar disabilities. This ensures your recycling helps both the environment and the community.
- Supports local recycling programs
- Reduces pollution and landfill waste
- Helps conserve natural resources
What Can Go in the Recycling Bin?
In Saskatchewan, the most common recyclable materials include glass, aluminum, paper, cardboard, and certain plastics. Plastic containers labelled with the recycling symbol and numbers 1 through 7 can typically be recycled. These numbers identify the type of plastic and how it should be processed.

- Plastic Containers (take-out containers, wash bottles)
- Foil and Metal Cans
- Household Glass (food jars, alcohol bottles)

We follow the City of Saskatoon bylaws. If items in the bin are not recyclable, the load is considered contaminated and deemed as waste.
