Understanding Recycling
Importance Of Recycling
Recycling is the process of collecting and reusing certain materials to reduce waste. Although not everything can be recycled, most items can. When trash goes to landfills, it releases harmful chemicals and greenhouse gases, contributing to pollution. Recycling helps by keeping waste out of landfills, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and conserving natural resources. All recyclable waste from our bins is sent to Recycler Company, which uses the profits to support people with intellectual and similar disabilities.
What Is Recyclable?
In Saskatchewan, the main recyclable items include glass, aluminum, paper, cardboard, and certain plastics. Generally, you can recycle items like aluminum foil, tin cans, beverage containers, flattened cardboard, household glass, mixed paper, and plastic containers labelled with the recycling symbol and a number from 1 to 7. These numbers help identify the type of plastic and how it should be processed. All other information on what is considered recyclable can be found below.
Why Need A Recycling Bin?
If you are planning to do a cleanup or have a lot of recyclable waste, you can order a recycling bin to reduce input on landfills and the greenhouse house effect on our planet.
Who Needs A Recycling Bin?
Restaurants, Business buildings, people who aim to purchase recyclable materials more often, and anyone who wants to reduce planet waste and global warming.
